Samsung Android XR glasses with display resurface in One UI 9 code
Image: Primary Evidence of another pair of Android XR smart glasses has appeared in Samsung's One UI 9 code. The code makes mention of a model codenamed Haean, alongside two other model names that may end up releasing as variants of the same model.
The Haean codename originally appeared before Samsung's Galaxy XR headset launch and was expected to be released as another option with a built-in display, but was seemingly dropped. It is likely Samsung chose to push the XR glasses further while the technology gets refined.
Previous statements from Samsung confirm that at least one pair of smart glasses will carry an AI-powered camera. Google has previously shown that displays are nearly ready, so it is possible that this third model makes that an option for users.
One UI's code also references Bluetooth menu appearances and compatibility with Samsung's Find app. The glasses are expected to work with Google's Find My Device network as well, considering they are expected to run on Android XR.
There is no word on when these glasses will be announced, but their appearance in One UI 9 suggests a release this year.
